BOTH Auki and Sinasu Community High School (CHS) will represent Malaita Province in the Easter High School 7s rugby competition scheduled to be held in Honiara this month.
Malaita Rugby Union Association (MRUA) picked these two top teams after both teams reached the grand-final of the MRUA Schools 7s rugby completion which was held successfully at the Aligegeo playing field over the weekend.
MRUA Vice President Willie Utu told Star Sports in Auki that Auki CHS will now represent Malaita in the school senior category after the team’s historical win over the weekend.
In the meantime, Utu said they will decide on the case of Sinasu CHS in a meeting today to see if the school is fit to represent Malaita in the School 7s junior category since the school only reach forms three.
He said if the outcome of the meeting is positive then Sinasu CHS will definitely represents Malaita in the Easter school junior category.
He said Auki Tigers 7s team will also represent Malaita Province in the senior open category in the 2019 Easter’s 7s which will be held in Honiara this April.
With that, MRUA wishes these three teams all the best in the up coming Easter 7s rugby competition representing Malaita province.
