MALAITA’s Provincial capital, Auki has seen an influx of supporters arriving in numbers yesterday to wait for results.
Most of them traveled long distance by foot, boat and road just to come and wait for the results.
As early as yesterday many people were seen sitting under the trees and shades, infront of the shops and at the market telling stories and waiting eagerly for the results.
There were truckloads of supporters from North and East Malaita to Auki.
Meanwhile many voters who are working and living in Honiara have returned by boat as of yesterday.
More are expected to catch any first available transport today and tomorrow for Honiara.
Counting will continue today.
