“We have experienced very little disturbances during that day and we wish if it could come again next Wednesday,” Mr Uiga said.
However, my officers will be working hard to ensure there is safe and peaceful election for everyone in Malaita, he said.
He added that this is an important day for the province so police will remain alert to stop any disturbances from happening.
This week in Auki, this paper has witnessed more patrolling by police officers as they are preparing for the provincial election.
And Mr Uiga has called on all good citizens of Malaita province both in Auki and the rural communities to conduct their voting peacefully.
He added that Police will be around to handle any disturbance that may arise during the Election Day.
