THE Malaita public has thanked the new Malaita Provincial Government for seeing it fit to upgrade the Auki road within just two three weeks in office.
Auki roads have been left untouched for the past two years causing the road conditions to deteriorating more than ever.
Seeing the new Sudani led government taking actions to improve the roads within just three weeks in office gives Malaita people the hope to see much-improved Auki roads in the next four years.
Speaking to the Solomon Star yesterday after seeing the road work, a taxi driver John Ramo said they are happy to see the road upgrade.
Mr. Ramo said the current poor road condition is the worst ever, adding all that vehicle owners in Auki want is better road condition to allow their vehicles to operate along worthy roads.
“The poor road condition is very dangerous for road users,” he said while thanking the new provincial government for taking the step to upgrade the roads.
He said vehicle owners are looking forward to see a much better roads in Auki when the work is completed.
