Dear Editor – The premier of Malaita Peter Ramohia should reconsider, and call on the Ministry of Infrastructure and the tender board to revoke their decision to offer Dalgro Company the contract to re-tar seal the Auki road.
By looking at Dalgro’s operation here in Honiara their quality of work is below international standard and the type of tar used is not suitable for Malaita, the place of rain.
Look at how they tar seal all the pot holes in the city’s main roads. They did it today, when it rains the next day, the road returns to its original situation. So they have to redo it again and again.
As a Malaitan my concern is we need a contractor that can fix all the Malaita roads from north to south, east to west, and if the government can build good bridges in Guadalcanal why not in other provinces.
Mr Premier you need to wake up and do your homework.
Justin Oma
