THE visiting Australian students who spent ten days at Visale community in northwest Guadalcanal have expressed gratitude over their visit so far.
The students from Mary Mckillop, Port Macquarie, New South Wales have visited Visale school and the surrounding communities over the past few days.
Northwest Guadalcanal Solomon Star stringer John Toki said the students arrived last week and stayed at Visale community high school where they also visited some of the nearby communities.
They have been impressed with the visit, Mr Toki told the paper.
“Our visit to Visale is a successful one because we have learnt many new things from the people and the environment here,” the students told Toki.
One student told Toki that he will share his experience with his parent about the trip to Solomon Islands.
“This is my first time to visit Solomon Islands and indeed this country is so blessed with lots of natural resources and the environment,” the student added.
He said that people here are so friendly and he loved to be with them.
Toki said that during their stay at Visale, the students managed to visit some interesting sites around the area.
Mr Toki said the trip is to reciprocate a visit paid to the Australian School by some Visale students some months ago.
The students will return to Australia later this week.
