The Australian High Commission in Honiara has announced the presentation of the inaugural G’day Solomon Islands film festival commencing Friday 6 June.
The festival will be held every Friday evening in June at the Honiara Art Gallery Grounds.
Australian High Commissioner to Solomon Islands Andrew Byrne said this is an opportunity for families to have a fun night out and to enjoy classic Australian cinema.
“The Australian High Commission is happy to be hosting the first G’day Solomon Islands Film Festival during June. It’s an opportunity for families to come down to the Art Gallery Grounds, relax and watch their favourite Australian movies.”
The event will feature popular Australian movies on the big screen including Crocodile Dundee, Babe, Strictly Ballroom and Bran Nue Dae.
Movies are expected to start at around 6.30pm each Friday evening with gates opening at 5:30pm.
