THE bad treatment of last house’s Opposition group has been the major reason why DCC has maintained its numerical strength until the end to form the government.
One of the Solomon Islands People’s Democratic Coalition (SIPFC) members revealed this in an interview.
“There are two main factors that resulted in DCC forming the government. The main reason is during the last government, they have treated the opposition group really bad which I believe caused great pain and suffering, that they will never tolerate to forgive our camp for,” the MP who wish to remain anonymous said.
He said, due to that, all members of the Opposition group from the last house are hard to break to move them to their camp.
He said, those who remain neutral in the last government had witnessed how bad they had treated the Opposition group.
Adding, the other reason is that some members of the SIPDC camp have issues with members of the DCC camp.
“Therefore, even though we get to the last point of selling the Prime Ministership to the other camp, it did not work,” the insider has revealed.
He said some of the neutral members in the last government and the current SIPDC got trapped in this and as a result could not do much,but to just remain to maintain their integrity.
Solomon Star was told that even brainy MPs in the SIPDC camp got caught in this because they don’t want to jump here and there to paint a bad picture to their names.
“Some of the neutral MPs which include good brainy people would like to join the other camp, but were trapped and can’t do much,” the insider said.
Meanwhile, he said some of the neutral ones within SIPDC camp might soon join the government when the right time comes.
Adding, it is sad to see those main players in the game continue to force everyone to sign and accept agreements that he said had resulted in them losing the battle and also make them look only stupid.
