NAMOIA secondary school in east Kwara’ae, Malaita province has suspended its classes since Tuesday due to bad weather.
Chairman of the school Enoch Idui told the paper on Wednesday, they have decided to temporary close the school due to very strong wind hitting their areas.
Idui added there was no heavy rain except for very strong wind which pulled out some of the house tops and caused fear to people.
“The wind is so strong that it even knocked off trees.” worst that tree were fallen over.
Other schools in East Kwaio also called off their classes this week.
Meanwhile, villages located along Fiu and Kwaibala river near Auki have been hit by flood waters since early this week.
