THE Baegu-Asifola Senior High School has welcomed all students in and around Honiara City and the country at large to enroll at the school for the 2025 academic year.
Located on Mount Austin, outside of Honiara City, the newly established Baegu-Asifola Constituency-owned school, which commenced operation in 2024, is offering spaces for Forms 4 and 5 students who are looking for a school to continue their learning.
The school is offering a total of 105 spaces for Form 4 students and a total of 35 spaces for Form 5 students for this academic year.
A total of three classes each will be available for Form 4 students and Form 5 students.
Speaking to Solomon Star yesterday, the Deputy Principal of Baegu-Asifola Senior High School, Christopher Kirio Misitana said for this year, the school only offers Form 4 and Form 5 classes.
He said Form 6 classes will be made available as of 2026.
Mr Misitana said tuition fees stand at $2000 per academic year per student in both Form 4 and Form 5.
The reason for this announcement is prompted by an error made by the Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development (MEHRD) by not providing placements for Forms 4 at the school for this academic year.
The Baegu-Asifola Senior High School is a newly established school established by the two-term Member of Parliament for Baegu-Asifola Constituency, Makario Tagini and though bearing the name of his constituency which is in the north-eastern region of Malaita Province, the school is situated in North-West Guadalcanal and is only a few kilometers outside of Honiara City.
The 2025 academic year commences this week.
