BASKETBALL preparation for the Pacific Games is in progress.
The men’s basketball train-on squad are wasting no time as they look to make a mark in the upcoming regional games.
The Pacific Games will commence on July 4 in Papua New Guinea and 21 countries have already given green lights to participate.
Men’s basketball coach Fa’amoana Topue said 25 men are in the training squad but the number will be trimmed further to 15.
Topue said their focus of kicking off training well ahead of time is to make their presence felt in the competition and that their goal is to win.
He encouraged all who are listed for trainings to attend their initial training which starts at 5pm today.
The 25 train-on squad included Goldie Kari, Moses Kivo, Philip Tuhaika, Allan Wanefai, waige Turueke, Gavin Lulu, Timi, Chris Ora, Brian Fatai, Kevin, Billy Manu, Walton Panio, Uriel Matagani, Molton Maefilia, Davidsom Tuilulo, Augustine Basia, Alex Masae, Andrew Banro, Junior Gwali, Trevor Masae, scaden, Nigel, Moses Au, Smith and Logn.
