A National Invitational Beach Soccer Championship will take place in Honiara on Monday 9 November to Saturday 14 November 2020 at DC Park in Honiara.
SIFF secretariat will send invitations to its member associations who have an active league or championship as an invitation tournament and therefore it is not mandatory for all provincial member associations to attend.
The purpose of the championship is to scout for talents for the Solomon Islands Bilikiki national Beach Soccer team to represent the country at the OFC Nations Cup in 2021.
SIFF Technical study group will do the selection and a training squad will have a brief camp in Honiara before taking a break for the festive season in late December 2020.
The total number of participating teams is subject to approval from the Local Organising Committee (LOC) and participating PFAs are eligible to have a maximum of two teams. Each team should strictly consist of a maximum of 12 players and 3 officials.
SIFF is kindly inviting provincial beach soccer teams who satisfy the eligibility criteria and are interested and able to participate to please confirm their participation by Sunday 25th October 2020.
Meanwhile, the SIFF Executive has also approved 28th November to 12th December 2020 as the confirmed dates for the Solomon Cup at Lawson Tama in Honiara. All PFAs are expected to participate in this mandatory national tournament.
