THE Solomon Islands Football Federation (SIFF) has signed a sponsorship agreement with JQY Company yesterday for the National Beach Soccer Championship this year.
The signing was done between SIFF president William Lai, SIFF CEO Leonard Paia, and JQY Manager Yiang Jian Qing at the SIFF Conference room.
The sponsorship is worth $50,000 and it will help SIFF boost prizes for the National Beach Soccer competition with JQY to get the naming rights.
“This is the first-ever partnership in the National Beach Soccer Championship in the country.
“SIFF is aiming to return to the Beach Soccer World Cup and such support paves way for SIFF to help prepare the country’s national beach soccer team for the Qualifiers.
“I would like to thank JQY for this partnership and sponsorship which will help increase the prize money for this year’s beach soccer championship,” SIFF president William Lai said.
Yiang Jiang Suing said JQY is happy with the partnership with SIFF and vows to continue support football.
“Thank you SIFF for the partnership.
“JQY is happy to support the number one sport in the country and help players perform to a whole new level.
“This is the first time for us to sponsor at the National level and we will continue to support football,” he said.
The Mariner Outboard National Beach Soccer Championship is scheduled for May 15-22 in Honiara.
