THE organizers of the BattleGrounds Solomon Islands (BGSI) 2016 dance competition has thanked the major sponsors and the judges for their contributions towards the smooth running of the tournament which ended over the weekend.
BGSI kicked off on Friday 25th March and ended successfully on Sunday 27th March, at the Heritage Park hotel.
KUZZENS free style dance crew came out victorious to claim the BGSI 2016 title, in a thrilling grand finale, after some hard fought battle between some of the best dance crews in the country.
This means, they will be representing the country in September 9th – 11th this year, at the World Supremacy Battlegrounds (WSB) 2016 in Sydney, Australia.
The Solomon Star understands that, the WSB was also rated as the number one street dance competition in the Southern Hemisphere.
MAS Presents (Sydney base company) – Core host of the World Supremacy BattleGrounds, Flipnoise Entertainment, newly introduce company, doing entertainment in the country, and Hailie’s Entertainment were the hosts of the tournament.

Mr Chottu added, the support door is still open to business houses and individuals who wish to contribute toward the preparation of the wining dance crew to compete in Sydney, this year.
“We still open to Business house if you want to help our youths to the World Supremacy Battlegrounds 2016 in Sydney. Let us help each other here to promote our country Solomon Islands”.
The hosts also commended the great job done by the three judges, James Deane, Cat Thompson, and Sheru Bharadwaja for making sure that the routines shown during the competition is competitive, energetic and the winner declared is the best dance crew from the Solomon Islands.
