THE National Bible College at Kwaibala near Auki in Malaita province will begin its academic year on 27th January.
Principal Reverend George Andrews said students who are enrolled for this year should arrive at the college compound next week.
Mr Andrews said school registration and orientation will commence on 29th Wednesday.
“Students from Western region, Central region, Malaita region and Makira region are expected to be at the college next week.
“Basic things to bring include notebooks, pens, beddings, mosquitos net, a bush knife and coconut broom, this is compulsory for all students,” Rev George said.
The NBC is a member of the Asia Pacific Theological Association (APTA) of the Assemblies of God in Philippines.
The college runs a one year certificate course in two semesters per year.
The core curriculum courses covered each year: Bible Survey (Old and New Testament), Foundations (Foundation Bible truths), Hermeneutic studies (Bible interpretation and study methods), Homiletics studies (preaching presentation), early church history, Life of Christ, Church history (from the disciples to the present day), Christian character studies (biographical), Pneumatology (Holy Spirit – person, gifts etc), Eschatology (end times and many more.
