TWO Solomon Islanders have been shortlisted in the Beach Soccer Worldwide (BSW) Stars award 2024.
Biliki head coach and former national beach icon, James Naka and sensational striker, Thomas Amasia are named to compete for the awards.
Solomon Islands Football Federation (SIFF) confirmed on Friday after Beach Soccer Worldwide (BSW) announced the short-listed candidates all around the world for various awards including best coach of the year, best men’s player of the year etc.
Naka has been shot listed into the Beach Soccer Worldwide to be voted on the Best Coach of 2024 along with a total of 23 beach soccer coaches around the globe.
Naka made his first coaching stint leading the Bilikiki to a second place finish at the OFC Beach Soccer Nations Cup in Honiara last year.
While, Amasia also been short listed for the Best Men’s Player 2024 at the Beach Soccer Worldwide stars award.
Amasia’s recent form at the OFC Beach Soccer Nations Cup in Honiara last year also deserves to be recognised.
However Amasia has made his cut into the 26 short listed candidates for the Best Men’s Player 2024 at the Beach Soccer Worldwide stars award.
The Beach Soccer Worldwide (BSW) will announce the date and location for the draw very soon.
