The ministry of health and medical services (MHMS) has congratulated blood donors who have supported the blood bank to save lives.
The ministry’s permanent secretary (PS) Dr Lester Ross highlighted this Wednesday night during a certificate presentation to faithful blood donors and companies/ business houses that continues to support the blood drive.
The event was held at Rock Heaven Inn conference room.
More than 20 plus blood donors and five companies have been issued with certificates of appreciation by the blood bank.
The certificates were in recognition for freely donating their blood to blood bank. Solomon Islands Red Cross (SIRC) and NRH are jointly supporting the program.
The Australia Red Cross is funding the program through SIRC.
Dr Ross said, government was overwhelmed with work done by the blood bank.
He said the blood bank has played a role in saving lives.
The PS said the ministry will continue to support the blood bank.
