Bmobile-Vodafone are delighted to announce that they will now be providing 3G+ coverage for the GPPOL area in the Guadalcanal plains.
In a statement on Thursday the telecommunication company said, this site came on air at 3pm yesterday – Thursday the 4th of June.
“This was a big milestone for the company in the Solomon’s as it is the first SST tower build and to go on air.
“This will be the first of the many SST towers to go on air in the coming weeks as there is currently another six SST towers been constructed that will provide 3G+ coverage in other areas.
“These towers will all be 40 meters in height with a tripod shape at the base. The tower in GPPOL was constructed by the Hatanga group who completed the tower on schedule despite the poor wet weather recently.”
The project manager Warren Pweka is working hard to have the project completed by the end of July and delighted with the completed tower now in GPPOL.
GPPOL is important strategic area to provide fast data coverage with many bmobile-Vodafone customers located in this region.
The tower is located near the main head office providing 3G+ coverage for many of the workers of the plantations.
The company now has three towers in the GPPOL area and the new tower will provide a superior data service going forward.
“The next tower to go on air will be next week in Choviri Ridge which will give improved 3G+ coverage to Skyline and the Mataniko river valley.
