Another Bmobile-Vodafone site has come on air in Honiara as of Wednesday.
This was confirmed by Niall Downey the country’s Bmobile-Vodafone CEO.
This means the company had successfully finished their roll-out program to give complete voice and 3G+ to all of Honiara.
Mr Downey said, this site now gives Honiara town a complete coverage from Henderson in East Honiara across to White River, West of the city.
“There is now no longer any black spots around town with Bmobile-Vodafone.”
The company have added 13 new tower sites within the last twelve months.
The latest new tower is situated on Ngossi ridge over the Police head-quarters, the company boss said.
“This particular site now gives added coverage to Town Ground area, IBS, Rove and Tandai areas.”
Mr Downey said, Warren Pweka the project manager has worked diligently over the last twelve months with his staff engineers Philip Joi and Willie Koburo.
“This team has worked well with all the contractors to ensure that Bmobile-Vodafone can offer the best voice and data coverage in Honiara.
“The team had advanced the network and most importantly ensured the company have moved away from the days when the old bemobile offered poor voice coverage and data services.
“These developments have only been successfully through the continued support from the IBPC to ensure that a PNG company can offer world class services overseas.”
Meanwhile Bmobile-Vodafone will be launching in September new promotions and products including cheaper calls to PNG.
“The new designed network can now handle the capacity and offer a first rate service for all their customers which the bmobile management look forward to providing for the remainder of 2015.”
