THE Malaita provincial government has thanked Bmobile-Vodafone for connecting Malaita through communication in spite of roads and shipping services.
This was highlighted by the Deputy Premier of the Malaita Provincial Assembly (MPA) Alick Maeaba during the launching of Bmobile- Vodafone’s new high capacity network at Rarasu leaf hut in Auki last Friday.
Mr Maeaba also told Bmobile-Vodafone’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Niall Downey that, the Malaita provincial government is looking forward in working together with the company as partners especially, through the development of telecommunication in the province.
Speaking during the official launching, Mr Downey said, Bmobile-Vodafone is still continuing to improve its network services around Malaita province.
“We provide quality services to the rural dwellers throughout Malaita province.
“You can use your 3G phones for internet access in anywhere in your rural areas and communities,” Mr Downey said.
He added that bmobile-Vodafone has invested SBD $22 million for this new high capacity network.
