BMOBILE-VODAFONE last week has upgraded its network in Malaita province with the launch of its high capacity network in the province.
Malaita province’s Deputy Premier Alick Maeaba and Bmobile-Vodafone’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Niall Downey were the ones cutting the ribbon during the launching.
A statement from the company said:
“This is a significant step for Bmobile-Vodafone as we improve services to the province.
“With this high-capacity link we are now able to offer the same services as we do in Honiara – including 3G+ inter-net services,” the statement said.
The statement added that, this is the largest investment project since our launch back in 2010.
“It is also a statement of intent to our friends in Malaita that we are, and always will be their number one telecommunications provider,” it says.
Meanwhile, Solomon Star understands that this is the company’s latest service provided in Malaita as part of its expansion mode this year.
