Local companies with shipping services are demanding the Democratic Coalition for Change (DCC) government to pay them $3.7 million each to support their businesses, since they have done this to Sun Express.
This was raised by boat owners during the People’s Forum held in the Korean Restaurant’s conference room, Thursday.
Most of those who attended the event expressed their disappointment over controversial government decision to pay Sun Express.
Because of that boat operators also want the government to provide the same assistance for their service and operations, considering their million dollar support towards Sun Express.
They said, this has set the precedence, thus there is no excuse for DCC to deny similar support for their business.
Local shipping service providers want government to respond to their demand or they will move further to address this matter.
