All the athletes and officials from South Pacific Teams have arrived in Honiara ahead of the 23rd South Pacific Bodybuilding & Physique championship set to kick off today here in Honiara.
Vice President of the Solomon Islands National Bodybuilding Federation (SINBF) Dickson Kae said all the athletes and officials who will take part in the championship have arrived in the country.
“All the athletes and officials are in the country now ahead of the official start of the championship this morning,’’ he told Star Sports.
Team New Caledonia arrived in the country on Wednesday while Team PNG, Tonga and Tahiti including judge and officials from Northern Mariana and Samoa arrived on Thursday.
Meanwhile, according to the SINBF the championship will kick off today with South Pacific Bodybuilding Building Federation Congress, Judge and Coaches seminar in the morning before weigh-In in the afternoon.
The official opening ceremony for the participating teams and officials and Invited guests will be held at the Honiara Hotel this evening while the championship will kick off tomorrow morning at the Multipurpose Hall.
