MUNDA Bombers has got away with $7000 cash prize after beating Noro Yellowfin during the annual Zomo peace dart tournament that took place in Easter in Munda, Western Province.
According to reports reaching Star Sports, they beat Noro Yellowfin by 7, 6 after being drawn at the normal play.
The prize also included a trophy, gold medals and 10 cartons of SB.
Noro Yellowfin came second receiving $5000, a trophy, silver medals and eight cartons of SB, and Ibu Rano (Ringgi) got third place while Gizo White Eye in fourth place.
The annual Zomo Peace dart tournament was hosted by Munda Zomo branch where 12 teams participated.
No teams from Honiara participated in the tournament because for the recent Easter they held their regional competition after being in abeyance since 2006 rioting.
Only Western region continued to host the annual Zomo peace dart tournament which usually rotates between Gizo, Noro and Munda.
The tournament also included consolation prizes to men and women category.
The sponsors were Kosco, Iu Mi Kaban and supported by Solbrew.
The annual Easter Zomo dart tournament which has been held in the Western Province for several years now, aimed to bring Zomo club members together to strengthen the Zomo network and foster friendship and peace across communities.
Next year, Noro town will host the tournament.
