THE Renbell contingent for the upcoming Solomon Games will not face any problem in terms of sporting gears.
Thanks to a timely give back support from Samlinsam Company who supported the contingent with full sets of sporting gears.
Managing Director Junior Pau officially handed over the sports equipment to Renbell Deputy Premier Eric Saueha, chairman of the province’s committee tasked to oversee their athletes along with two other members Golden Kiloko and Thompson Teika, yesterday.
“Samlinsam is very pleased to support the province contestants for the Solomon Games,’’ Pau told Star Sport.
“This support is thus part of our obligation to give back to the province since Samlinsam has its logging operation on Renbel,’’ he said.
Meanwhile, Pau urged Team Renbel to offer their best performance during the games, adding the company will also proud of their achievement.
“I would like to urge Renbel athletes to play as a team and aim for golds in the competition campaign,’’ he said.
In response to the donation, Sau’eha acknowledged the timely support saying it’s a great boost for the team ahead of their Solomon Games participation.
“We were very happy about this support since Sumlinsum is the only company that come out and respond to our request.
“Also we were thrilled as these equipment will enable us to compete in the games,” he said.
The games will kick off this weekend and will run for two weeks.
