THE fate of the man, who stood trial for the death of a man whose body was found lying at the bottom of the steep hill at the Botanical Garden in 2020, will be known on Monday next week.
Ruben Jayrick Hitu had stood trial for one count of manslaughter before Justice Maelyn Bird.
The judgement is now listed before Justice Bird on Monday next week.
Hitu was previously jointly charged with Tatasi Fati Forau.
However, Forau was acquitted of the charge after the court found that he has no case to answer to the charge.
Hitu was accused of the death of a man on 25 July 2020 at the Botanical Garden in West Honiara.
The prosecution alleged he attacked the deceased while he and his lady friend J. M were having their meal at the Botanical Garden hilltop.
J.M escaped downhill when the accused allegedly attacked the deceased.
The body of the deceased was found shortly afterwards at the bottom of the steep hill beside the fence to the Redeemed Church building.
