The Honiara Amateur Boxing Association (HABA) will be hosting their second bouts for this year, this Saturday at the Multipurpose Hall.
HABA confirmed this to Star sports in an interview, Thursday.
“We will be staging our second bouts for this this weekend (Saturday night February 13, 2016) at the Multipurpose Hall,’’ HABA said.
HABA strongly urged all clubs to select their best boxers to take part in this weekend’s bouts as scouts for potential fighters to represent the country in the upcoming International bouts set for coming Easter is still in progress.
“We’ve already identified several fighters but the need to have them in the ring more often is what we want.
“Hence, in doing so will prepare them well for our proposed International bouts set for this coming Easter.
HABA added, they are looking forward for exciting bouts this weekend.
“We are also expecting a tough bouts this weekend, thus, we called on our good boxing fans and supporters to come out in numbers to witness another sets of entertaining bouts,’’ HABA said.
