THE Honiara Amateur Boxing Association (HABA) round two bouts has been set for this evening at the Multipurpose Hall.
A spokesperson for the organising committee confirmed this to Star Sports in an interview yesterday.
“We are expecting more exciting bouts tonight with more clubs expressing their interest to join the competition,’’ the spokesperson said.
He said the actual number of bouts should be known this morning when fighters go for weigh in and medical checks from 7 am to 9am.
“However, we are expecting more bouts for tonight’s show,’’ he added.
He also urged all fighters to attend the weigh in and medical checks to avoid disappointment.
The spokesperson said doors of the Multipurpose Hall should be opened after 6pm while the bouts will kick off at around 7pm.
Last fortnight, HABA successfully staged 13 bouts from six local boxing clubs, which fans and supporter really enjoyed.
Meanwhile, boxing fans and supporters are urged to come out in numbers to witness and cheer their favourite boxers.
