The 2016 Solomon Games Boxing competition has concluded bouts with Team Malaita dominating the sport with four gold medals.
The four gold medals were won by Junior Oto, John Kaloka, Polycap Bonave and Rowan Tapera.
Choiseul snatched two gold medals while Isabel, Western and Honiara scooped one each for their teams.
Aloysion Arabatu and Hosea Tua won gold for Choiseul after beating their opponents, Jerome Mamando of Honiara and Alex Mika of Isabel province.
Both Mamando and Mika settled for silver medals.
For Western province only Willie Pereku survived the hard-hitting competition with a goal medal after beating Renbel’s Mark Sasamon who snatched silver for his team.
Honiara’s George Miriks was also full of smiles for the host city with his goal medal while Dennis Ilaha snatched a lone gold medal for Isabel province.
Meanwhile Multipurpose was packed to the roof during the final on Thursday night.
