Bank South Pacific customers (BSP) in Auki Malaita are calling for the quick reparation of the Automatic Teller Machine (ATM) in Auki.
The only BSP ATM located at the BSB branch in Auki has stop working for three days now and customers are becoming frustrated.
A frustrated customer told this paper in Auki that people who live far away in the rural areas depend entirely on the ATM for quick withdrawal when travelling to Auki in order to catch transports back to their villages.
He said yesterday some of them have missed out on their transports back home because of the queue in the bank.
“Most of us rural people depend on the ATM because it it quicker to do the transaction and prepare to catch our transports back to our home villages.
He said Auki customers need reliable ATM service because people who depend on the machine live far in the remote villages.
Auki BSP branch could not be reached to explain the cause of the problem.
