The Bulk Shop has opened a new shopping centre at NPF Plaza precinct on 8th December 2020. This is a new addition to its line of supermarkets at the NPF Plaza in Point Cruz.
This new supermarket is no different from other Bulk shop supermarkets around Honiara and is offering customers a wide variety of food and groceries, fresh produce, meat, beverages, and household products including a bakery and tea/coffee and ice cream shop.
Its other sister company, the Pro 31 shop has also moved its operation from the Point Cruz building to co-locate with the Bulkshop.
The opening was the culmination of negotiations and counter offers between SINPF and Bulk shop since early 2019 for the Bulkshop to work with SINPF for refurbishing and leasing the supermarket space. Under the agreement, the supermarket was fully refurbished by Bulkshop and Hatanga with funds from SINPF. SINPF will then lease the property to Bulk shop under a 5-year lease term with options to renew and extend for a further 5 years.
