The number of burglary cases is increasing within the Green Valley areaof east Honiara.
A chief representing the community revealed this during a one day meeting with the police at Rove police headquarters last week.
“In my community, house break-in and stealing has increased this year,” the chief said.
He said the community leaders are committed to working with police to address the problem.
The chief said burglars normally attack when people are away or sleeping.
The chief appeals to everyone in the community to work together by reporting incidents of burglary to police.
