BURI Community High School (CHS) in North Ranoggah, Western Province, plans to introduce its first form six in 2025.
That’s according to the School Principal Owen Kelly Bulehite following the school’s annual graduation recently.
He said this was a long time wish for the school board, administration and the community.
Principal Bulehite said, work on completing the new classroom is in its final stage.
He said the school is waiting for approval from the Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development (MEHRD) following their inspection of the classroom.
“We are awaiting the final approval to offer F6 next year.”

Principal Bulehite said, the introduction of Form 6 is to enable students from Rannoggah and surrounding areas to do Form 6 studies closer to their homes.
“Once introduced, this should help Rannoggah students not to go far to secure spaces at other schools to do F6,” he said.
“Already the school had undertaken some expansion work to allow for new staff houses, dormitories and classroom,” he said.
Bulehite was appointed principal following the death of the previous holder of the position.
Since taking office, some changes have been made, such as the building of new staff houses and classrooms.
A new market house was also built to allow women from Buri and other villages to sell their market produce at the school.
This week, Principal Bulehite showed part of the classroom construction work, which is in the completion stage.
He said the building of a new classroom is part of the requirement outlined by MEHRD for the school to introduce Form 6 as early as next year.
Principal Bulehite is confident MEHRD will give them approval before the 2025 academic year commences.
More than a week ago, the school witnessed 46 Form 5 students graduate before sitting their exams, which came to an end on Tuesday this week.
