THE Miss Solomon Islands Pageant (MSIP) 2017 continues to get support from business houses in Honiara.
Pageant Director Joyce Konofilia said Honiara Hotel has agreed to become a Silver sponsor and have also identified their contestant.
“More details on the contestant will be made available this week,” Ms Konofilia said.
Meanwhile, she said Ela Motors’ Country Manager has indicated his company would be interested in the Gold category.
“This would be the first time Ela Motors is involved and I am very happy to have such a prestigious company join and support the MSIP this year.
“Gold Ridge has also indicated its support to sponsor a contestant from Guadalcanal to promote the Guadalcanal culture.”
According to Ms Konofilia, Rax Boy, an indigenous business, has also indicated its support.
Owner Ben Maenu said that he is happy to be supporting the MSIP this year and also promote his small business.
“The SI Visitors bureau have always supported MSIP in its marketing and has also indicated its support in the same area,” Ms Konofilia stated.
Whilst the MSIP is still without a Platinum sponsor, Ms Konofilia is optimistic they will find one soon as they are now talking to potential sponsors who have always supported the show in the past.
“The MSIP vows to promote all business houses that support the event in the print media, publications, TV, on-line social media and live mentions on the crowning night.”
