AS the country goes through the festive season and the New Year period, the country’s national flag carrier is expected to get busy.
That’s according to the Solomon Airlines Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Gus Kraus in an interview with this paper.
“Its normal to expect busy period from December to January. We are hopeful but also conscious of disposable income as if this is lacking, we will find it difficult to fill our flights. We are hopeful though,” he said.
With the return of Dash-8 as of late October, the aircraft had been busy transporting people to the provinces which can allow the aircraft to land at Gizo, Munda, Auki, Kira Kira and Lata.
Meanwhile, the CEO said, following this year’s successful hosting of the aviation week in October, there are plans to continue with the program next year.
As for the 60th Peace Marathon they are already planning for next year’s event which they are hope to be late August prior to the Pacific Games.
