The Solomon Islands Planned Parenthood Association (SIPPA) is calling on public to get the voluntary counseling concerning test (VCCT) for HIV.
The testing is very important because the results can be seen on the same time after testing has been conducted.
An officer from SIPPA HIV department told this paper that currently the disease is silently affecting many young and old people in the country.
He said that only through testing people know about their status.
“Testing is important to find out results and patients can get treatment.
“It is also best to know your health status,” he said.
He added that in order to protect yourselves from the disease use condoms and test every month.
