MALAITA-based members of the Solomon Islands National Provident Fund (SINPF) have called on the management of the newly established Solomon Finance Limited (SFL) to consider opening a branch in Auki.
These are mostly local Malaitans or people who are living and working in Auki.
They said they were not able to make it to Honiara, due to the challenges and impacts of the Covid-19 Community transmission and restrictions imposed in the country.
They added that COVID 19 is still active and becoming a threat to the country, as well as the need to set up an Auki branch.
Speaking to this paper, a member congratulated Solomon Islands National Provident Fund for discovering the SFL which will provide opportunities for members to make a loan.
However, he also joined others by suggesting that it could be reasonable for the management to set up a branch in a province like Malaita to allow provincial based members to access the important service in the province.
SFL opened its doors after a successful launch last month in Honiara.
It was understood that the Solomon Finance Limited office is located at the ground floor of Anthony Saru building, central Honiara.
SFL is a credit institution Solomon Islands National Provident Fund (NPF) established to issue out loans to its members.
