Permanent Secretary (PS) for the Ministry Culture and Tourism (MCT) John Wasi urges tourism operators and general public in Honiara to attend the official launching of the Solomon Islands National Tourism Development Strategy today.
Prime Minister (PM) Manasseh Sogavare will attend the official launching today at the National Museum compound this morning.
The strategy is design to identify and address some of the sector related impediments and to facilitate a faster rate of economic growth and increased benefit from Tourism.
It’s also reflects the importance of sustainable tourism in growing the economy of Solomon Islands and in achieving the broader goals of the DCC Government.
Mr Wasi yesterday in an interview with the Solomon Star urged the general public and tourism operators to attend the official launching.
“This is a very important launching and I call on everyone including tourism operators and the general public to attend this official launching.
“Everyone must attend so that we can able to explain the tourism strategy during this time of the launching,” Mr Wasi said.
