THE Secretary to the Prime Minister Office, Dr Jimmie Rodgers says casinos cannot be compared with churches, when it comes to Covid-19 safety protocols or measures.
This is in response to what the members of the public have raise after the government his disallowed churches in the emergency zones to continue with their church services.
In a radio talk-back show, Sunday, Dr Rodgers said with casinos their proposal when it comes is very clear that they have less than 25 people in a given time.
Further to that, he said they have face masks, hand sanitizers and have thermometers to monitor people’s temperature.
“So please do not compare casinos with churches. Church is where we come together,” he said.
Dr Rodgers said in many countries, the first community transmission resulted from church gatherings.
However, he said as of this week churches in the emergency can now resume with restriction, and those in the COVID-19 free zones can continue with their church services.
