A TOTAL of 23 smallholder Cattle farmers in Malaita Province have benefited from a support of vaccine rollout from the Reach Consultancy in the past weeks.
Director of Reach Consultancy, Fredrick Fa’abasua, confirmed this to Solomon Star Auki, saying since Reach Consultancy rolled out vaccination at Dala Cattle farm in West Kwara’ae in November last year, it has reached out to 23 smallholder farmers throughout the province.
Mr Fa’abasua said so far, Reach Consultancy vaccination rollout has reached Central Kwara’ae, West Kwara’ae, East Kwara’ae, East Kwaio and West Kwaio and added that more cattle farmers in Malaita will be benefiting from the assistance which is an ongoing process.
He said the vaccination rollout is important for the cattle as it keep them safe and healthy from diseases.
“Currently, Reach Consultancy has already supported around 23 smallholder farmers from the West, Central and East Kwara’ae Constituencies, and both East and West Kwaio constituencies.”
“This is an on-going assistance and more cattle farmers will be assisted when the necessary logistical support is received from the Malaita Provincial Government or whoever may wish to assist.”
Reach Consultancy is a private entity currently providing vaccines for interested smallholder cattle farmers around Malaita Province with the support from the Malaita Provincial Government.
