THE Community Access & Urban Service Enhancement (CAUSE) Project is doing a great job in Auki, Malaita province in maintaining the township clean and tidy.
This week workers under the CAUSE project were seen cleaning the drain at Sikitae, which has been left untouched for some time making it clean as ever, which caught the eyes of the public.
While the CAUSE project presents short-term employment opportunities to many unemployed men, women, and youths to support their families, it also keeps the town clean which many people described as a win-win project.
According to those employed under the CAUSE project in Auki, the presence of the CAUSE project in Auki town has eased the burden of Auki Town Council when it comes to cleaning the town area.
The presence of CAUSE project not only felt by the cleanliness of Auki town, but also by creating footpaths in Auki and also in schools and also nearby villages.
Some of the schools that have been benefiting from the footpath projects are APS, Auki Community High School, Alota’a School. Communities that also had footpaths constructed are Fulikaomae, Tolsigore, and Ambu.
