Central Bank of Solomon Islands (CBSI) has launched its new official website this week during the event to mark the 40th Anniversary at the Mendana Hotel in Honiara.
The launching was officiated by the Governor of CBSI Denton Rarawa after presenting his remarks on the past successes of CBSI as they inspired for a vibrant future.
Rarawa told Solomon Star on Tuesday that the 40th anniversary plus the launching of their new website marks the importance of the event to the history of CBSI.
“This event will reflect on the past, where we could learn from to gauge the future direction of our country through cooperative efforts of government with stakeholders.”
He added that it is the time that changes for better performance in the economy is needed, so as to improve from what we undergoes in the last 40 years.
“The history of our economic growth in the last four decades should be the milestone in strengthening our economic performance to improve along the right trend.”
Rarawa reiterated that by knowing well the history, the nation will know exactly where it is heading for the betterment of Solomon Islands as a developing nation.
