Dear Editor,
COULD you please allow me a space in your respected paper to share my views concerning the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) which now become alarming to all 50 constituencies of the country.
It has come to our attention that CDF is facing immense pleasure from constituents in all 50 constituencies.
As professionals, we must address this matter in an efficient and effective manner. Firstly, we must prioritise transparency and accountability in the utilisation of the CDF through RCDF. This can be done by conducting regular audits and involving community representative in the decision-making process. Secondly, we must ensure that the allocated funds are used for the intended purpose and reach the most vulnerable and marginalised communities, prioritising equal distribution and addressing the needs of all constituents is crucial.
Lastly, it is imperative that we engaged in open and constructive dialogue with the constituents to understand their need and concerned. By fostering an inclusive and collaborative approach, we can work towards finding sustainable solution that benefits both the CDF and the constituents. Let us work together to address the pressure on the CDF in Solomon Islands, and ensure it effective utilization for the betterment of our country Solomon Islands.
Thank you.
