DMI (Daughters of Mary Immaculate) Sisters of Visale Parish celebrated the Feast Day of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus on Monday 1st of October at Vutulaka, Visale Mission station, Northwest Guadalcanal.
Among the Feast Day celebration at the DMI sisters’ headquarter were Fr. Iuvens Rapasia and Fr. Casmero.
It was a successful event as DMI sisters entertain the program followed by refreshment.
The event is celebrated every year on the 1st of October.
Solomon Star correspondent John Toki said DMI Sisters were established since 1933 so they reach 95 years now.
One of the DMI sisters told Toki that Catholics around the world honor the life of St. Thérèse of the Child Jesus, or St. Thérèse of Lisieux on her feast day.
She was born on January 2, 1873 in Alençon, France.
