OFFICERS from the Central provincial police and health division will engage in a joint operation to conduct awareness talks to communities in Small Ngella next week.
The visit will focus on health awareness and talks related to law and order.
The team will visit Belagha, Salesapa and some of the communities in Small Ngella.
Central provincial police commander(PPC) Fred Satu said some of his police officers will accompany the health team.
He said health team will conduct awareness on health issues related to marijuana, kwaso and other drugs while his officers will talk on the illegal side of it.
There will be talks on family violence, abuse and crime.
“Such awareness talks are important so that people in the rural communities are able to understand the importance of protecting their health and maintaining law and order.”
The PPC said this outreach program is an ongoing one.
He also highlighted that over the weekend no major crimes and arrests were made.
He appealed to the people of the province to respect each other.
