A PROVINCIAL Minister and a backbencher within the Central Provincial Government have been terminated from office for personal interest against the government of the day.
Honourable James Galini who was the Minister for Works, Transport and Local Council including Richard Vulo, chairman provincial public accounts committee and board to Siota secondary school.
Their dismissal from office takes effect as of July 31st 2015.
Central Province Premier, Selwyn Mapuli confirmed the two being fired due to personal interests with reasons of trying to destabilize the government.
“And because his other executive members no longer have the confidence in their leadership role,” he said.
“The untimely sacking of Hon. Galini and Hon. Vulo came about for reasons of Government stability as I no longer have any confidence on their leadership roles.
“This has resulted from having negative attitudes and behaviours on their on-going condemnations of the Government on personal interests.”
Premier Mapuli said the province needs mature and dedicated leaders, and he is sure their replacements can fit in very well.
Replacing them is Humphrey Salopuka member of provincial assembly for Lavukal as the new Minister for Works, Transport and Local Council.
Whilst George Selwyn Luga; Provincial Member for Sandfly and Buena Vester has been appointed as the new chairman for the provincial public accounts committee and the Siota school board.
“Central Province needs mature and dedicated leaders like Hon. Humphrey and Hon. George Selwyn Luga.
“Their inclusion into my led government will drive Central province into newer heights,” reiterated the Premier.
He added urging other MPAs to be realistic in their thoughts and leave aside their personal differences, concentrate on developing the province.
“I am appealing to all MPAs of Central Province to leave out our personal differences.
“It’s more important that we work on development initiatives for our Province in every way possible and not to point fingers at each other for reasons of power struggle.”
Swearing in ceremony for the new replacements will be conducted soon.
