Late December last year 2015 and early this year 2016, the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Gizo had personally organized and facilitated a workshop in the Holy Rosary Parish, Nila Shortland islands and in the St Peter Parish, Gizo and Vanga.
He presented the Educative Pastoral Plan (EPP) for School Chaplains and teachers and intended to reach every Catholic school in the Diocese, Western and Choiseul Province.
He invited an expert Educator and Priest Rev. Fr. Mario Baclig SDB from the Philippines to accompany the Diocese through the process of Educative Pastoral Plan (EPP) making.
Fr. Mario SDB arrived in Gizo on the 16th March 2016 and will return to the Philippines on the 14th of April this year.
There will be three (3) seminars on the EPP program on the following dates and venues.
St Peter Parish in Gizo; 21st – 25th of March2016, for St Peter Kindergarten and the Training Centre, Vanga Rural Training Centre and Teacher’s College plus Noro and Canan of St Eusebius Parish.
St Joseph Parish (Moli) on the 28th March-2nd April, for St Joseph Secondary School (Moli), and for those who cannot attend in Gizo.
Holy Rosary Parish 4th -9th April, for all Schools in Nila (Shortland Islands) and for those who cannot attend in Gizo or Moli.
The Catholic Education Authority is calling on all Catholic School’s Chaplains and those selected staffs to attend this important program for their school.
