Local charity group, Hearts Of Hope (HOH) is calling for support to assist the group’s programme and activities.
The call was made during a meeting of Rotary club members at Honiara Hotel when HOH members, Janet Aihari and John Misite’e did a presentation about the group.
During the presentation, the two members shared the group’s vision, its mission, challenges and future plans.
The presentation was made to inform and enlighten Rotary club members to understand and know what HOH is doing in rural communities in Malaita.
Hearts Of Hope was founded by Janet Aihari, a mother of three, in 2006.
The group’s mission is to support all orphans and widows to be self-reliant and live a life of dignity in their own communities.
A total of 329 villages in Malaita are members of the charity group.
They also highlighted a key future plan of the group is to develop an Orphan Centre on land which has already been identified.
HOH has receives various supports from individuals, organisations, non-charity groups and business houses.
The group operates mainly in the rural communities in Malaita.
