Dear Editor – Allow me to sing in poem, the lies of the Charity fund.
The charity fund is a lie; a big fat lie,
You heard it once, twice and thrice before,
And now, it is on again.
There maybe new dudes on the blog, but they still sing the same old song,
Voices still echoed the same sound,
All sung on the same note;
It groaned grandpas’ ear drums,
Victim of lies who never gave in into disbelieve.
Although singsong writers were imprisoned, some died,
Yet the songs of lies continue,
For a day’s work, dollar-less songs were heard,
Between the NPF plaza and the museum trees, they sang,
“20 years, we’ve been waiting for a chance”, the depositors sang in Alice’s ears,
In gasped of despair, the thin air was breathe, “our savings were gone”, grandpa hummed
“But to tell a lie is to fetch me bread on the table”, the deceiver reclined
“That $250 deposited in my pocket feed me tea in the evenings”,
“$1.2million is a wealthy lie to grave your remaining savings”
It was said that a bank statement was printed, but that was a gruesome lie
“Steven claimed it belonged to his father”, a burst of anger
“Who is Steven?” “a conman”, an angry reply
yet, a lie said Mr. Elo is the owner of the bank
that three IRS statutory revenues came through the CBSI;
The former boss diverted it, a handsome lie
“But what is IRS statutory Revenue?” there was no reply;
Am illiterate, the acronym is education – a whisper;
“More $250 deposited to feed me tea in the evenings”
Recorded in my mobile phone, was a convincing lie;
That it was last Friday, the SI’s PM and AG, and Philip signed the documents of the Charity Fund;
Why Philip anyway? “Heir”, a firm reply
Offspring of Mr. Elo; Philip’s wallets swallowed more $250 deposits for such a timely lie,
Oh gosh!! Help these oldies, for these are wishful lies we created;
lies that can be tormented and wounded, but not dead;
lies that can be chased out, but not imprisoned;
lies that brought bettlenut and cigarette at lunch;
Lies of a life time which filled our empty purses from grandpa’s $250 life savings
