THE New Zealand Country Head of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ), Peter Vial will be speaking at the ISIA’s Inaugural Congress in Honiara on September 17.
He will be delivering the keynote speech on the topic Digital Transformation Through Artificial Intelligence – Adopting artificial intelligence in a developing economy / accounting profession.
Mr Vial has been the New Zealand Country Head for CA ANZ for seven and half years since early 2017, whilst the Chief Executive Officer Ms Ainslie van Onselen heads the organization which is based in Sydney, Australia.
The organization was inspired to become a sponsor for Congress to help Professional Accounting Organizations (PAOs) build their capacity to serve their members and communities. This is a strategy including supporting the four PAOs in the Pacific including ISIA.
“I am very much looking forward to meeting ISIA’s members and learning about the opportunities and challenges they are addressing,” Mr Vial said.
Mr Vial is a Fellow Chartered Accountant a barrister and solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand and a Chartered Member of the New Zealand Institute of Directors.
He is passionate about the differences that chartered accountants across the world are making in their communities and in business, not-for-profit organizations, government and academia.
